Program Description:

 

The program, Uplifting Our Youth will provide FREE, practical experience in teaching Microsoft Office and offering certification in; Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access to the University of Ghana students at Central, Main and its Medical campus. Training will be conducted by students and staff members of FLCC-BBH that will last 44 weeks, providing 30 minutes of theory, and 45 minutes of practical experience with 15 minutes in breaks, one class a week, for up to 50 students. If demand is high we will expand out to 3 class a day, or may move them to different days to accommodate students. Each training will last 11 weeks, students will sign up online,the courses,4 weeks of Beginners, and 5 weeks of Intermediate on Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. An online test will be given and upon passing will certifications be given at the at the end of each 11 weeks.

 

Microsoft Office is an essential tool for every enterprise and individuals today! Microsoft Office is used by 90% of companies worldwide.

 

Statistically, this means that over 1.2 billion people and most businesses are currently using Microsoft Office. That’s nearly 20% of the world’s population. In the current job market, knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is essential in helping you make your mark with presentations, word files, excel spreadsheets, working with databases –are all a part of daily tasks for most of us.

 

When you have an in-depth knowledge of MS Office, it means you can make better presentations, use more features in Word, Excel or Access and thus really make your mark on your work,in your style.

 

This puts you ahead compared to your peers and thus boosts more confidence in you, too.What is Microsoft Office?Microsoft Office, also simply referred to as Office, is a collection of client software, server software, and services developed by Microsoft. It was first announced by Bill Gates on August 1, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The core programs in Microsoft Office are: Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Access Publisher One Note We believe this program will be a huge success in helping increase students productive and the University of Ghana,by giving back to their students by offering this free program. We are asking for a two-year pilot,with an option for three additional years to provide this program and being the only one exclusively to provide it.
